Fishing Report

Updated 06/18/2021 - Most small streams and stillwaters are fishing outstanding right now.  Fish are definitely looking up and feeding heavily.  Small stream trout in particular are feeding foraciously right now, and now is a great time to target them with a dry-dropper rig.  You may even want to go with a single dry fly if you are fishing/casting in tight places.  Stillwater fishing is great as well, but the bite has been slowing down throughout the day, particuarly on days with very warm, sunny weather.  Fish are cruising the shallows and feeding on the surface when water temperatures are cooler, but will re-locate to deeper water depths as the water warms up throughout the day.  We are expected to get cooler weather with the possibility of afternoon thunderstorms over the drainage.  Generally this should improve the fishing conditions going into the weekend, but be prepared for inclement weather.
