Walk/Wade Trips

Ever looked at a river and wondered where to begin looking for fish and how to catch them? Look no more when booking a full day of wading and fishing on the Upper Rio Grande with one of our knowledgeable guides!  With prolific hatches that range from salmon flies to drakes, golden stones to all different kinds of caddis - the dry fly fishing on the Rio can be tough to beat at times!  Nymphing can also be an incredibly effective technique when wading on the Rio, especially in the fall!

Our experienced guides will get you on the best water available within our guiding permit on the Upper Rio Grande in the Coller State Wildlife area. A second option would be the South Fork of the Upper Rio in the public access areas.  All fly fishing tackle and lunch is provided with the cost of a full day wading trip.  Please specify in the notes section of our online booking if you would like to book a guide by name, if you have a specific stretch of water in mind, if you have any dietary restrictions or preferences and we'll see how we can accomodate you!

Full-day wading trips typically last from 8 am to 4 pm, but these times may vary based off of factors such as the weather and the quality of fishing.
